Hi, My name is Erika Hunter. I am horse and rider trainer based out of Encinitas California. I have over 15 years of experience riding, breaking,  showing and training horses, and that’s why I created this website!

LESSONS AND TRAIL RIDES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

Due to insurance reasons at the barn, I am no longer able to provide lessons or trail rides, I am very sorry for the inconvenience. As soon as I can find a place that has full coverage insurance, I will begin to give lessons and trail rides again. I love teaching and sharing my passion of horses with other horse lovers. I can’t wait to start up soon! Keep me in mind for the future, I will update this site as soon often to keep you in the loop!

1 Hour lesson- $50.00 (I say and hour, but it will be between 45 min and 1.5 hour of saddle time- always ending on a “good note”)

1 Hour Trail ride-$60.00 per person (Usually btwn an hour and 1.5 hours)

2 hour Trail ride- $90.00 per person (btwn 2-2.5 hour)

Trail choices include:

1 hour- loop around back roads in Elfin Forest, and gorgeous trails in back country by “Bridges Golf Course. One water crossing, and limited river views with lots of rolling hills and a few steep ups/ downs.

1 hour- a long climb up a steep(ish) hill in Elfin Forest for breathtaking views of the ocean, Carlsbad lagoon, La Jolla, and Rancho Santa Fe.

2 hour- a loop of  both the one hour rides

2 hour- a very flat walk around the well manicured trails of Rancho Santa Fe, see breathtaking houses, flowers, and wildlife while enjoying the quite, gently rolling trails.

For lessons please call and tell me a little about your riding experience, I do a free 30 min lesson to meet and greet the horses, and make sure that we will make a great team!
